Growing with Care

At Millay & Meadowlark, seasonality is the foundation of our work. Our flowers are grown in Montana’s natural growing season, allowing each design to reflect what is truly in bloom rather than what can be forced or imported. Early-season flowers bring softness and freshness, midsummer offers abundance and movement, and late-season blooms introduce depth, texture, and warmth.

Designing seasonally allows us to harvest flowers at their peak — richer in color, fragrance, and structure — while reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact. This approach creates florals that feel alive, expressive, and deeply connected to time and place. The farm directly informs our studio aesthetic. The way flowers grow in the field — their movement, spacing, and natural variation — shapes how we design. This connection results in arrangements that feel organic and intentional, never overly styled, and always honest to the season.
